Happy Halloween!

Some of my favorite Halloween pictures taken from the 4 years of college in America! Great memories, with great people!

Halloween was by far my favorite holiday when I lived in America! Before I went to college in America I was thinking is it going to be like the movies? College was nothing like the movies except for halloween, it was better! Remember when they said in the Mean Girls movie, Halloween is just an excuse to wear slutty outfits and lingerie and just put on animal ears....that pretty much sums it up! And I loved every minute of it! I remember carving my first pumpkin, eating my first candy corn and going to my first corn maze and watching all the little kids go trick or treating! It was all so 'American' and I couldn't get enough of it. It wasn't about what party you went to, what costume you wore or which fraternity house you visited. It was all about who you went with, and every year from freshman year to senior year, I partied with some great people so this blog post is for you!

Day at the races

 With the Birthday Boy, Gary!

I just had a great weekend on the Gold Coast, with a great group of English people! We went to the races and I learnt that I may need to be able to handle my liquor better before i travel to the UK next summer! Although, I surprisingly managed to pull it together to take a few pictures for the blog. I love the races, an excuse to wear fancy hats and flowers in your hair? Love it. I don't care about the horses or the gambling, I just love the fashion and the socializing.
The Melbourne Cup is coming up in a couple of weeks, which is the Australian version of the Kentucky Derby. I have already bought my dress, but I'm still in search for a fabulous hat!

Life is good, I love being surrounded by great people!

Dress & Blazer: Forever 21, Shoes: Steve Madden, Bag: Louis Vuitton

Last night we had a family night for my sisters partners birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY DOMINIC! We went to a German restaurant in the city over looking the river. I order spatz? It was a pasta dish, it was my last indulge meal, because my diet (number 128928)  starts today! So hopefully the more pictures I upload on the blog the better my skin, hair and body will look :)
I love this dress, it is so feminine and flattering! I don't usually wear pink because with my blonde hair I don't want to look like a trashy barbie. But I am addicted to blush and nude tones. It is an essential shoe that every girl must have, a nude heel! It also makes your legs look longer, added bonus to my little 5'5 body.

Tomboy Tailored

SHIRT: H&M, JEANS and VEST: F21, SHOES: Rubi, SUNGLASSES: Forever New, BAG: Collette Hayman

Today we (my sister and I) went to Wynum to get tattoo eyeliner done, for the second time! The first time came off after a few days, I thought a tattoo was permanent? Obviously not! I was planning to take pictures on the street but then my sister said we were close to the water so we should walk down the street. We walked to the end of the street and it was paradise! I have been to this area a few times but I have never been along the coast line. It had parks, swimming pools and water slides. It was such a pretty area to have a picnic and the weather was perfect! I love discovering new places.. and it gives a great backdrop for my blog pictures :)

Black on Black

TOP: Ally, SKIRT: Dotti, BELT& WATCH: Michael Kors, BAG: Louis Vuitton (Speedy 35), SHOES: Famous Footwear, SUNGLASSES: Steve Madden

Today we went into the city to a marketing meeting with a company called Simjen. The meeting went really well but the weather was horrible! I made my parents get out of the car to take these pictures, Mum was holding the camera while my Dad was holding an umbrella above her! Just to get a few pictures without the wind in my face was an epic mission, but in the end we got it!
As I said in my last post I love leather. I recently bought this leather skirt on sale for $30! Not to mention I also bought this sheer blouse for $20 and the shoes were $25. I love clothes but I hate to wear the same outfit more than a few times, so I buy inexpensive pieces but invest in staple accessories that wont easily go out of style.
My pride and joy in my expanding closet is my Louis bag! I have always wanted one since I was little, and on my 21st Birthday I got one. Where at? New York City on 5th Avenue of course! It was such a special moment and they even monogramed my initials on the handle as a birthday gift.

So we are back from Fiji and back to our normal routine. My life is far from glamorous but that doesn't mean my wardrobe can't be! I love the peplum trend and I hope it stays in fashion for a while! The biggest part of my body is my stomach :( So the shape of this top is really flattering for my body shape. Another trend that I love is leather! I have leather pants, leather skirt and these leather shorts. (No im not a dominatrix haha) Since I came back from America when it was summer and straight into Australian winter, my first purchase was leather pants and I must have worn them 100 times already.
It is getting really hot here in Brisbane, but I am jealous that I am not in America for the Fall season. I love Thanksgiving and Halloween, so I will be celebrating both holidays here in stinking hot weather with my Aussies friends and family! Who is with me?

Geometric Print

SHIRT & NECKLACE: Forever21, SHORTS: Citybeach, BELT & WATCH: Michael Kors, HAT: Universal, SUNGLASSES: Rubi

So these photos were taken on the last day of our holiday in Fiji! It rained all day and we were just sitting around wandering what to do. I looked over and there was a beautiful black and gold carpet hanging on the wall, and I realized I have shorts in a similar print....photoshoot?! So my amazing sister who takes my photos shot these fun and quirky pictures. I loved them all that I had to post more than usual. Thanks Ash for being my photographer and my biggest supporter xxx

Thanks everyone who is following my blog, I appreciate each and every view :)

MONOKINI: Victoria's Secret, DRESS: Asos, HAT: Valley Girl, SUNGLASSES: Forever New, WATCH: Michael Kors, CUFF: Forever 21

BULA! (hello in Fijian) today we had a very relaxed day :) Last night was the wedding, and we slept in till midday! My sister says she is catching up on a years worth of sleep, and it is impossible getting her out of bed! We slept through breakfast and headed to a cafe next to the marina, and FINALLY I had a decent cup of coffee in Fiji. I am a coffee addict, and there is nothing worse than starting your day with a crap cup of coffee! A little dramatic but those coffee lovers know what I am talking about.
I love beach cover ups that you can wear on the beach as well as out to lunch. I bought this one from Asos, a great online store that has free shipping both ways, so if you don't like it or it doesn't fit you can send it back without paying postage! Although this hat serves no purpose at protecting my fair skin from the sun, it looks cute, and thats all that is important (much to my mum's dismay lol).

Island Wedding

My sister Ash, in a matching turquoise dress

I am such a bargain shopper it is beyond ridiculous. As I said, I refuse to spend over $50 on almost anything, especially things that I am only going to wear once! So when I found this dress in Ally for only $40 to wear to the wedding I was sold! Another added bonus, it came in a variety of colours so my sister bought a beautiful turquoise one. It was the perfect combination of formal with the fabric and beachy with the floral embellishments.
It was a beautiful wedding on the beach, and I have never seen a more beautiful or happier bride! The day was perfect, apart from the wind! To capture a photo without my hair in my face was a mission. I was also curling my hair for hours, but Fiji is so humid, my hair dropped straight away :(
